Water compliance and Legionella Maintenance in the Dental industry.

Why do dental practices have a responsibility to be water compliant?

Dental practices have a duty of care to both staff and patients to protect them. The person in control or  employer has a legal responsibility to take control and ensure the relevant water safety checks are in place.

You have a duty to comply with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8 as imposed by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

Ensure to arrange a site visit with a qualified risk assessor to ensure that you are adhering to the relevant rules and regulations. 

 

By conducting a Legionella risk assessment the assessor can identify the potential risks and how to access all water systems on site. Once the survey has been conducted, the results will be reported back and suggestions for remedial work required will quoted for.
